Kerala Academy for Skills Excellence (KASE), under Department of Labour, a Government of Kerala undertaking has established Indian Institute of Infrastructure & Construction (IIIC) at Chavara in Kollam District. KASE identified 93-year-old Uralungal Labour Contract Co-operative Society ULCCS as the skilling partner for offering Skill development programmes. The objective of IIIC is to conduct courses for the skill development of workers and managers in the infrastructure and construction sectors. With its strong experience in the construction sector, ULCCS is ideally positioned to take the lead in transforming IIIC into a state-of-the-art skill institute. ULCCS has established a separate division namely UL Education to promote higher education, skill development, entrepreneurship and to improve employability with collaborators from across the globe. In India, there is a growing awareness about the need for skill development. ULCCS intends to improve employability through appropriate skilling process with industry interface across the globe.
Post Graduate Diploma in Facilities & Contract Management
The course provides comprehensive knowledge and practical applications in Facility and Contract Management. Facility Management is an emerging employment sector at Malls, Hospitals, IT companies etc. where job opportunities are on the rise. This program is conducted as a collaborative course with certification from the International Facility Management Association, Houston (IFMA), USA.
